Latest Release Highlights
Development is nearing completion for Version 6.6 of both HPE Shadowbase for HPE NonStop and HPE Shadowbase for Other Servers.
HPE Shadowbase ZDL for NonStop will:
- Leverage new functionality to remove the need for the Shadowbase metronome process
- Allow for simplified configuration, reduced overhead, and improved (reduced) application latency
HPE Shadowbase for Other Servers will support:
- The latest features to all of our supported platforms
- Expanded IBM Db2® Source connection configuration options
- SAP HANA as a target database
Expanded support for DDL operations will be available via the HPE Shadowbase DDL Command Replication (DCR) product. It will allow for replication of SQLCI-based SQL/MP DDL operations from a NonStop source to a NonStop target replication environment, for operations such as CREATE TABLE, ALTER VIEW, and DROP INDEX.
Do any of these future potential enhancements interest you?
- Further enhancements for ZDL configurations, including bi-directional support
- Additional DDL Command Replication support for Enscribe and SQL/MX DDL operations
- Improved data at rest and data in motion encryption options/capabilities
- Better parallelism for heavily updated tables by further partitioning replication of a single table or partition on multiple threads
As always, please keep us posted on your future technology direction, needs, and wants in the data replication, data integration, and data synchronization space so that we can plan to meet your goals accordingly.
