Shadowbase Compare Plus software is an add-on to the existing Shadowbase Compare solution. It enables heterogeneous HPE Nonstop SQL table and off-platform database comparisons, meaning the two tables being compared can be on different servers and database types.
The following server and database combinations are supported:
- HPE Nonstop SQL/MP or SQL/MX tables with SQL Server databases via a Windows client
- HPE Nonstop SQL/MP or SQL/MX tables with Oracle databases via RHEL client
Note: additional platforms and databases are in-plan for future versions, please contact your Shadowbase Sales Rep or Product Management for more information.
Release Highlights:

- Parallelism using multiple compare threads
-
- By default, SQL Compare uses the source table’s partition information to automatically control parallelization. This automatic parallelization can only be done when the source table is a Nonstop table.
- Identifies All Discrepancies: missing data, extra data, and differing column values
-
- Just like in a normal Nonstop/Nonstop SQL Compare job, Compare Plus identifies all three mismatch types (missing data, extra data, and data in both where the column values differ) between the two tables and reports on their details.
- Simple Installation: install Compare Plus on your existing Nonstop system, plus the Other Server system.
Next Steps

Reference the SOFTDOC for more information on how to validate downloaded Shadowbase software via a SHA1 checksum, installation instructions, the HPE Release File Structure, and other information.
Technical Requirements:
- The off-platform system is running a supported OS (e.g. Windows, Red Hat Linux, etc.)
- The off-platform system has an ODBC driver available for accessing the off-platform table.
- A TCP/IP connection from the Nonstop system to the off-platform system can be established.
- The Nonstop table and the off-platform table have identical key structures and similar schema definitions (simple datatype conversions are supported; columns without similar datatypes may need to be excluded from the compare).
